[Blind-Computing] quick memo to all the lists I manage
I just wanted to say if anybody contacts me privately regarding subscribing or anything else pertaining to a particular list please specify which list you are talking about. I just did a count and on the 3 lists that I have owner status on there are a total of 639 members so obviously with out specifics this could get rather confusing as you may well imagine. That's all nothing else, have a good day to all. Re: [Blind-Computing] Burning audio using WMP10
Hi Patti, In that case, I would recommend useing CDEX to rip the tracks to your hard drive. You can rip them in either .mp3, or .wav format. Note: ripping to .wav will consume more space on your hard drive. It really depends on what your personal prefference is and how much space you have as to what format you choose. If you need more info, just sing out. [Blind-Computing] Active sync question
All: I have a Pac mate that I sync with a laptop and my home PC. I have the automatic backup feature activated, so in theory, there are two copies of my system data available in the event of the pac mate crashing, which happens though rarely. Freedom Scientific provides a backup program called Sprite backup which stores system data on aCF card, but I've had nothing but bad luck using it. I'm doing convention next week, and don't want to drag my laptop along, and my wife will have her laptop available. My question is this: If I copy the backup storage file to a cf card, can I reload my settings etc. If I copy the backup file to her laptop which has active sync on it? I know I'd have to create a partnership to do this, but is it possible to restore settings etc. In this way? Thanks and I hope this makes sense.
