Mike,
If you didn't find the place to turn off the desktop cleanup wizard, here it
is:
Go to the control panel, then display.
Next, go to the desktop tab, and tab to customize desktop
spacebar that, and then tab to the run desktop cleanup wizard every 60
days, and uncheck the box.
Okay your way out of the dialogues.
You are done.
HTH,
Rick Justice

Hello everyone;
I just have a question regarding the opticbook 3800 scanner.

Ddoes anyone use this scanner, and, if so, are they're particular settings
that need to be followed in order for Kurzweil to function properly?
I did install the scanner on a client's computer, However, When I go into
Kurzweil, And press f9 to scan, I hear scanner can'tt be found.
So I went in the menus,
Chose, scanning,
And made sure the opticbook twain was their. Interestingly enough, if I went
to the opticbook from the system tray, and chose settings, the thing would
start to process the text, and then start the scan.
When I went back to do another scan, it said, the opticbook is being
disabled.

Can anyone shed some light on this?

Hi all. I just purchased a 64 bit laptop which has Windows Seven. I
am not able to go online with this machine but have no problem doing

 Could it be the router?
The routher I am currently using is set up for hard-wired and

connection with a Mac.
I should also say that I've had this Net-gear router for several
years; long before 64 bit machines came out.
Any thoughts on this matter would be appreciated.

beginning.

So, figure out what you do know, and what you want to know. Then ask
questions and I think you'll be surprised how helpful this group will be.

The more explicit you can be, the better answers you'll get.

If I wanted to pretty much go back and start from the beginning, or
pretty much the beginning concerning computer use, where and how would I
do

it? I'm missing all the fun and I'm tired of not knowing anything.
Thanks in advance.

I want to install Dropbox so that I can get scanned books from my
computer to my Ipad. I've done the "next, next, next," thing and no
installation. What do I do?

Subject: [Blind-Computing] accessibility of Kindle

   Hi everyone,

Just wondering about the current state of accessibility of the Kindle app.
Is there any way to read a Kindle book within JAWS or convert it for use
with an OCR? I assume not but thought it was worth asking. Thanks.
