Re: [Blind-Computing] questions on differences between external harddrives
I believe it is the width but not sure about that. I got some prices from Dell as a starting point, as my desktop is a Dell. They have a 250 gig which is actually cheaper than a 180 gig they have. The woman thinks the reason is, the higher gig one is a 3 something inch, while the 180 gig one is a 2 something inch. She said the higher gig one is not portable i.e you don't pop it into your bag. My question is, what does the size in inches refer to i.e height or width? Is there really much difference between them? thanks Jason Visit the Blind Computing List home page at: http://www.blind-computing.com Address for the list archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/blind-computing@jaws-users.com/ To post to this group, send email to blind-computing@jaws-users.com To unsubscribe from this group, send an email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] For help from Mailman with your account Put the word help in the subject or body of a blank message to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Use the following form in order to contact the management team http://www.jaws-users.com/BlindComputing.php If you wish to join the JAWS Users List send a blank email to the following address: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Visit the Blind Computing List home page at: http://www.blind-computing.com Address for the list archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/blind-computing@jaws-users.com/ To post to this group, send email to blind-computing@jaws-users.com To unsubscribe from this group, send an email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] For help from Mailman with your account Put the word help in the subject or body of a blank message to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Use the following form in order to contact the management team http://www.jaws-users.com/BlindComputing.php If you wish to join the JAWS Users List send a blank email to the following address: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

It goes to how wide the platters are, IE their diameter.
