Re: [blind-gamers] crafting kingdom replacement

2020-09-20 Thread Luke Hewitt

Hi.

That is odd.

You should be able to find the "settings" under where it lists your
amounts of resources at the top of the page.

It's not a link or a button, just a hotspot to click with a graphic, but
clicking there should get you to a settings menu where you can turn
sound on and off and do other things.

I absolutely love planet life, I ran across it on Pc and that's where I
played, you'll find me in deric's hall of fame after defeating the final
dungeon of chapter 1 twice :D.

'Though it's not available by phone, a very good recent discovery along
the same lines is hells' night:

The atmosphere is sort of creepy mansion full of undead, weird rituals,
monsters etc, but you gather resources (albeit some of them being
harvested souls), and do different tasks.

the hole game is a bit shortt, being possible to finish in a couple of
hours, but I was surprised just how much fun those couple of hours were,
figuring out where to get different items, casting spells to explore the
different locations, and even playing a couple of minigames.

2020-09-18 Thread Missy Hoppe
I have Nano Empire and Evelyn's Farm. I like both of them, but I got pretty
bored with them for some reason. I think my current favorite game that's sort
of a long those lines is planet life. That one is super silly, though, and you
have to have a lot of patience to get everything accomplished. There's one with
Dragons as well that is kind of a building game, but that one started
frustrating me after a while as well. Maybe that's just not my kind of game.
:-) I collect them on my phone, and always try them out, but I find myself
abandoning almost all of them. My favorites are the choice of game interactive
fiction. Those entertain me more than almost anything else.

I wasn't counting nano empire, because that's more of an rpg and location based
game rather than a crafter.

if you like Nano empire though, be sure to check out Jcenter's most
recent title Evelyn's farm, which is simply fantastic! and is sort of an
incremental rpg.

Re: [blind-gamers] Crafting Kingdom Replacement

2020-09-17 Thread Damien Garwood

Hi,
I didn't see Knight Commander mentioned in the original post.
While I think the accessibility in Galactic Colonies is in beta, I
personally didn't find any problems with it.
And unfortunately I'm not really one for browser games. To be perfectly
honest with you that concept actually scares me, especially after
someone tried to show me what muds were and all I got were some kind of
script errors.
Having said that. The minimum I ask for from a game is sound and
perspective.
Sound is how I make sense of my world, and so a game without sound to me
is like a film without images would be to someone who is sighted.
As for perspective, I'd much rather walk, get out a gun, load it and
fire it, than type commands in a terminal telling the game to walk my
invisible character 30 steps and kill a zombie, and then have everything
automate based on chance. Even in Manamon where encounters are automated
you still get to choose your next move, and you can hear your
environment so you have a much better idea of where you are.
Again though. I'm going off what I heard in old podcasts. Things could
be a lot different now, but I'd need a lot of help if I'm going to have
any kind of success or pleasure in that area of gaming.

Cheers,
Damien.

favourites of mine include space company, evolve, civ, Shark game,
clicker and trimps, not to mention city builder.

Hi,

I'm about to come to the end of Crafting kingdom, there will only be

timewaster than anything that requires much thought, but does have
things you need to get done. I did Diceworld years ago but often found
I forgot it or missed matches, since i will sometimes go ages without
playing.

Thanks

Hi,
I love those types of games. Here are a few I play in addition to
Crafting Kingdom. Hope these are of use.

Knight Commander
Galactic Colonies
Cheers,
Damien.
