Re: [SlimDevices: Boom] Replacement PSU for Boom
The Berls I linked to seems to work fine. However I'm not an electrical engineer or electrician. I would be v grateful if someone could run over the spec and compare to that required by the Boom - is it likely to be ok in the long run ? It works fine with my 2nd Boom's PSU. We had a serious electrical issue this week after having electric car charging point installed (involved losing electricity for 12 hours and our supplier digging up half the neighbourhood looking for faulty earth cable !). I suspect the death of this Boom psu may be related to this ... Thank you. Does it have the correct fitting plug (for the Boom) ? I have 2 Booms from way back - both in perfect working order (although rubbery front & top panel encrusted with dust which seems impossible to remove). [SlimDevices: Boom] Presets disappear from Boom - why ?
Hello Recently I've had some disappearing presets from a Boom when it has been alternated between LMS 7.9x and MySB.com. Sync option in MySB.com page of LMS web interface has been disabled for many years (which, when enabled, was a recognised cause in the past). What else could cause this ? [SlimDevices: Boom] Subwoofer advice for Boom please.
YSTFSW050 One of my Booms is a kitchen player and it's time to get some bass ! Don't want anything too overpowering (Boom has modest output) and I was looking at the Yamaha YSTFSW050. It seems well regarded and good value. Any thoughts on this model ? Would it be reasonable to place the Boom directly on top of this or is that a bad idea sonically ?
