Re: [SlimDevices: Boom] Boom not connecting sometimes
Yeah, I wasn't suggesting you had an actual power outage, just explaining my Boom reconnect issues. Or that maybe your router or Boom may have rebooted, creating similar symptoms to an outage. Dunno, just throwing out ideas. Perhaps even a failing WiFi board in Boom. Could be your routers IP lease renew is confusing the Boom as it is looking for a specific IP for LMS which is now different. Next time you see "connecting" on Boom, press & hold the BACK button to enter Setup menus. Scroll through these menu items twice, sometimes you will then see two instances of LMS, one is the LMS the Boom remembers, second is the "new" LMS (same LMS & host computer with a different IP). ---- toby10's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=12553 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=115839 ___ Boom mailing list Boom@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/boom
Re: [SlimDevices: Boom] Boom not connecting sometimes
After a power outage I can only get Boom to reconnect by re-launching LMS and unplug Boom for about 5 mins. Once I plug it back in it does connect as expected. toby10's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=12553 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=115839 ___ Boom mailing list Boom@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/boom

Re: [SlimDevices: Boom] Radio Paradise plugin not work with Boom?
Thanks guys. My bad. It does work. My Boom's knob "push to select" broke a long time ago so I use the "play" button to select menu items. It is the "play" button that won't select that particular menu item, yet this works for all other menu selections. Once I tried my SB3 remote on Boom it selected it without issue. -------- toby10's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=12553 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=115158 ___ Boom mailing list Boom@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/boom
[SlimDevices: Boom] Radio Paradise plugin not work with Boom?
My SB3, Touch, Radio can all access and play the Radio Paradise plugin on LMS. Boom is connected to same network and same LMS but cannot use this plugin? Boom sees the Radio Paradise menu item but it won't even allow access to the sub menus (i.e. the 4 genre titles). Can anyone with a Boom try this to confirm? Known issue? Seems odd the SB3 can access these streams while Boom cannot yet both based on same platform. If not tried already, press & hold the Boom's "back" button to enter Setup, svroll through all menu items twice without selecting anything. Now try selecting the LMS server listed. Re: [SlimDevices: Boom] Can my Boom be saved?
Also try unplugging it for a while. Mine has been acting up a bit as well, guessing just age and continuously being on 24/7. If I lose power and/or internet, Boom simply will not connect to my WiFi. I must reboot WiFi and Boom (unplugging it) to get it back on WiFi. Re: [SlimDevices: Boom] Suddenly no mysqueezebox.com
Occasionally my Boom exhibits the same behavior, typically after a power outage or router problem. My fix is to reboot (just unplug) both Boom and router. Plug router back in, wait 30 seconds until it fully powers up, plug Boom back in. That fixes my problem about 90% of the time. Some times I then need to recycle (turn off and back on) just the routers WiFi. That said, I just returned a couple days ago from being out of the country for six weeks, plugged in my Boom, was playing in 20 seconds and no reboots required. toby10's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=12553 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=110219 ___ Boom mailing list Boom@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/boom

Re: [SlimDevices: Boom] Squeeze boom frustrations
Unless your Boom's WiFi card is failing your issue is likely your WiFi network/signal. My Boom streams 24/7 three rooms away from the router, a good 30 feet, and works fine. I've had it play outdoors on occasion at probably close to 60 feet from router, again it plays fine.
