Weekly Chat Reminder
The Brin-L weekly chat has been a list tradition for over nine years. Way back on 27 May, 1998, Marco Maisenhelder first set up a chatroom for the list, and on the next day, he established a weekly chat time. We've been through several servers, chat technologies, and even casts of regulars over the years, but the chat goes on... and we want more recruits! Whether you're an active poster or a lurker, whether you've been a member of the list from the beginning or just joined today, we would really like for you to join us. We have less politics, more Uplift talk, and more light-hearted discussion. We're non-fattening and 100% environmentally friendly... -(_() Though sometimes marshmallows do get thrown. The Weekly Brin-L chat is scheduled for Wednesday 3 PM Eastern/2 PM Central time in the US, or 7 PM Greenwich time. There's usually somebody there to talk to for at least eight hours after the start time. If no-one is there when you arrive just wait around a while for the next person to show up! If you want to attend, it's really easy now. All you have to do is send your web browser to: http://wtgab.demon.co.uk/~brinl/mud/ ..And you can connect directly from the NEW new web interface! -- William T Goodall Mail : [EMAIL PROTECTED] Web : http://www.wtgab.demon.co.uk Blog : http://radio.weblogs.com/0111221/ This message was sent automatically using launchd. But even if WTG is away on holiday, at least it shows the server is still up. ___ http://www.mccmedia.com/mailman/listinfo/brin-l

The Leather is for real men. Big men. Men who aren’t afraid to wear large swaths of cow around their waists. Men who take secret pleasure in making vegans and bovine activists cry. ... We had to redesign our whole pleating system to get it to work with this gorgeous material. The results? This Utilikilt is undoubtedly better hung than you are. Wesley Are you now, or have you ever been, a Methodist? No, but my wife use to be one Or are you just much better-read in 18th-century theologians than most? Well, I'm fairly well read in theologians. My wife is in seminary, and I spend three days a week up there. With my philosophy background, Catholic university training, theology usually comes pretty easy. But, that statement wasn't really theological. It was a social work statement. At that time, the importance of hygine to health was becoming well established. He was promoting cleanliness for health to coal miners and other poor workers with that statement. Dan M. On Godliness
So how would you define your atheism? You phrase it like it's a belief. It's not. I spent a long time exploring my Christianity, and in the end found it empty. So I stopped believing. I do not believe in gods, ghosts, telepathy, bigfoot, bunyips or the loch ness monster. I think it likely on balance of evidence that all gods are human constructs (why else do they all act so much like people...). Maybe there's a creator or supreme being, but if there is it's truly beyond the petty super-humans of our myths. It makes no difference to me, anyway. Personally, it is my belief that there is no such being in the universe that is omnipotent, infinite, eternal and who created man in his image.
