The White House has already said as much.

I'm confused -- that doesn't look to me as though the question has been
answered.

So the White House has called the minister in question a liar. The
question, as I read it, is do you defend this? Not, has this happened,
but do you defend it?

Or maybe you answered it, and I'm being particularly obtuse this
evening.

Sorry, I misunderstood the question.

The answer is, I believe the White House on this one, and not Pat Robertson.

Doug, I am interested to know that you now consider Pat Robertson to be a

Maybe you are going to start listening to what Pat Robertson has to say
 about salvation as well?

If Alex Rodriguez tells a reporter that he thinks that Pedro is a dick, we
all take it with a grain of salt; they're rivals on competing teams,
they're not supposed to like each other. On the other hand, if Johnny
Damon tells a reporter that Pedro is a dick, I take it much more
seriously; they're teammates, they need to work with each other to win
games. Calling each other names isn't conducive to winning.

Get it now?

I, for one, don't consider Pat Robertson my teammate.

JDG - And at this point, I am sure that the President doesn't either.

Robertson, an ardent Bush supporter, told CNN in an interview Tuesday
night that he urged the president to prepare the American people for the
prospect of casualties before launching the war in March 2003.

Robertson said Bush told him, 'Oh, no, we're not going to have any
casualties.'

The White House said that you are defending them? Wow, I didn't know that
you were such a key supporter. :-)
