Re: installing
I am unable to install iTunes 8 with Wine. Half way through the setup *the installer encountered errors before itunes could be configured *any help?? Try using amarok or rythmbox. They are much nicer than iTunes, and they are free software! ___ Bug-coreutils mailing list Bug-coreutils@gnu.org http://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/bug-coreutils

I often run configure with --prefix=$HOME/p, and then install. Then, with $HOME/p/bin early in my $PATH, I'm sure to use the very latest versions, regardless of what is installed elsewhere. ___ Bug-coreutils mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/bug-coreutils

I often run configure with --prefix=$HOME/p, and then install. That wasn't my question ;), i didn't explained it correctly. But i used your example to test what i was asking. I meant that if was it possible to install the coreutils binaries split in two directories, /bin and /usr/bin, using the configure prefixes for that purpose. So then i could have binaries like cp, ln, mv,... installed in /bin and the rest installed in /usr/bin.
