Finally I had some time to play with it=) It was my stupid mistake -
I've changed installation directory, but didn't change configuration to
match new system directory location... Now it at least partialy works - ftp
clients
show that I have read access to files. Not every client works though,
iceweasel and gftp work - it can download files without problems, ftp
gets error 421, lftp dies with socket closed information (all clients
are able to browse directory tree). gftp can also put files on server.
Also MyServer seems to ignore per directory security files. The only one
that works is the one from system directory.
Is it normal that FTP logs are empty?
Thanks for help and have a nice day

Hi,
that's not very good, because it doesn't work for me=/ I've tried lftp,
ftp and iceweasel.
Maybe that's because you only have configured proper security file into
ftp's root folder. Try to set proper rights into security file from system
folder or if you want different rights for different folders cfg desired
rights into security files from each level of ftp tree structure.
If it's not a security problem(usually 550 error), please tell me more about
what have you tried to do exactly and what error have you received.
Best regards,
Andu.

Hi,
probably I haven't configured ftp to allow reads and writes. Everything
in myserver.xml regarding FTP is set to YES and in .security.xml in
main
directory I've put PERMISSION READ=YES EXECUTE=YES BROWSE=YES
DELETE=YES WRITE=YES, should I configure something else?
should be enough :)

Andu.
Files show up as they should now, nice=)

Hi,

on server. Strangely normal files appear as directories in list -
if I
do a few times 'cd file', 'ls' (error 550 here), 'cd ..', 'cd
another'
and so on I get a segfault and a crashed server.
Indeed this was a real problem: all files appeared as directories and
I
fixed it. Thank you!
I couldn't made it crash but I tested after I did the fix.
Maybe it was because of this bug the crash happened or maybe my
client
is different than yours? I tested with standard ftp client on a linux
machine.

Hi Marek,
I reproduced the bug and made another patch.
Can you test as well and tell me if it's working fine?
Thank you,
Andu.

No bigger problems, http runs well. Ftp refuses to work,
but it isn't
really important. Really nice work - it's fun to use, I
think that I'm
convinced that this project is worth working for my whole
summer if I'm
lucky enough to get accepted=)
