Job Title: Project Manager Location : Atlanta, GA Duration : Longterm Rate : DOE Need PMP Certified consultants Job Description: Role & Responsibilities: Plan and manage all activities related to complex business or technical projects Assemble, organize, and lead multifunctional project teams Develop resource strategies, budgets, staffing models, tools, and support plans necessary to execute the project Negotiate the overall scope of projects, defining concrete and measurable project deliverables Identify risks to the timely and/or on-budget execution of the project, and implement corrective actions Ensure compliance with standards, policies, procedures, and other requirements Monitor the project status and track key performance indicators Provide project progress reports to internal stakeholders, and create detailed project plans Manage costs, budget, and schedule. Calculate earned value and report weekly status Receive assignments in the form of mid to long-range goals and objectives, define methods and make recommendations to meet objectives and deliver results Brainstorm and define the structure for detailed project plans Manage the on-time execution and delivery of large projects according to the project plan and budget Receive assignments in the form of mid to long-range goals and objectives, define methods and make recommendations to meet objectives and deliver results Interface effectively with various client resources, up to the executive level Proactively drive the full end-to-end software development lifecycle from inception through post-production Qualifications: BA/BS in Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience Seven to ten years of experience managing large-scale initiatives in an engineering or technology environment Expert knowledge in the assigned business area discipline such as engineering or information technology Project Management Professional (PMP) certification strongly desired Advanced proficiency in automated project management tools such as Microsoft Project Advanced proficiency in analytical, organizational, project management, interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) Customer- and relationship-focused, process-driven, metric-focused, results-oriented, organized, self-directed Ability to multi-task and solve problems innovatively Above mentioned all are not mandatory, but having them is an advantage.
