Position: SDET Consultant *Location:* *IL-Illinois/Oakbrook Terrace* Duration: 6 Months *Interview Mode:: Phone then Skype* *Summary*: - The SDET will be joining the team responsible for testing web, mobile and web services. - They will be responsible for the full life-cycle of the test phase of web, mobile, web service, ETL products from its kick off until delivery and readiness to be released for customer consumption. *Responsibilities*: - Assist with performance test scripting, scenario creation and results analysis when needed. - Keep test environment (builds, databases, and data) accurate to production or appropriate to the upcoming release. - Use C#, Selenium and Soap UI for our automation. - Implement and maintain scheduled automated test runs and moving us toward continuous Integration. - Create useful performance tests with TFS performance tool. - Create and update automation during a sprint by working with QA, Dev, BSA to understand the business need, application changes and functional risk. - Use the Agile Project Management tool (TFS) to determine the Stories and derive the test details. - Develop and Maintain the Test design, test plan, test cases, and traceability for the system under test. - Perform test task estimation, test execution, Regression testing, Functional System testing - Track & analyze test results and work closely with the developers to isolate and reproduce defects - Work with External teams or Third party where required to ensure High quality coverage of all functional and integration aspects of our website and mobile application. *Required*: - Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, a related field or equivalent education - 2-4 Years as an SDET with 5-8 years of related experience in Software Development - Expertise in automating tests of mobile applications in various mobile products - Android, iOS, Windows, tablets. - Solid understanding & practical experience of Agile SDLC, with particular emphasis on pipeline automation. - Ability to understand how data flows through application tiers to databases through SSIS to business reports by reading documentation, talking to the team and reverse engineering. - Hands-on scripting, scenario creation/execution and results analysis with a performance test tool such as TFS, Jmeter, LoadRunner, or other. - Experience in automating acceptance & regression tests using core C#, or Ruby, or Java. (C# Preferred). - Complex SQL Query creation and understanding of database structures and relations. - Creating test environments that mimic production with minimal hardware provisions. - Understands web services (REST, SOAP) & underlying protocols (HTTP/S, TCP/IP) in multilayer QA test frameworks. - Experience using unit test frameworks like JUnit or other with selenium web drivers.
