Title: *XMPP/Messaging Experts* Location: Hillsboro, OR Duration: 6 Months *Job Description:* *Requirement* : - We are working on critical project at Intel (name not disclosed at this point due to confidentiality) that requires us to get XMPP/Messaging Experts on board. We have a messaging component (Instant messaging - XMPP) as part of our solution that is working for 5 to 10 million users. But looking to scale the same solution further for 100 million users. So the requirement really is design and development of highly scalable messaging solution. *The specific requirement here includes* · Scaling the XMPP solution for 100 million users · No of connections *per server* should scale up to 500K (Half a million). - Stretch goal is to scale up to 1 M per server · The No of connections per server scale should be achieved when the average Roster size is 40-50 *Current Solution: Our current solution that we are launching in production includes* · Scalability up to 150K connections per server (for roster size of 50) · It would support overall 5 to 10 M users · The complete set up is on AWS · *The XMPP Server used here is - ejabberd (Open source on Linux platform)* · (https://xmpp.org/xmpp-software/servers/) *What I am looking for ?* · Hands on experts who knows in and out of XMPP Protocol · Very strong knowledge of popular XMPP servers available · Very strong knowledge and experience in tuning the solution for large scale (both on linux and xmpp side) · Need few folks who can do whatever it takes (changing the current set up, using some other XMPP server, modifying the linux kernel for increasing no of sockets per server etc) to make the solution scale and perform ( *We are open to change the current implementation all the way if needed*). *Let me know if needed any help from my end.
