*Job Title:* Mid Level Java Programmer *Duration:*4 Months *Location:* Atlanta, Georgia *Rate: * $45/Hr c2c all inclusive *JOB PURPOSE:*Responsible for advanced level development, testing, implementation and maintenance of all facets of web-based application systems and web sites for a campus unit. May serve as project lead on applications impacting multiple units and provide work direction to Web Developers. *IMPACT & INFLUENCE:* This position will interact on a consistent basis with: management and staff within assigned units and personnel in Office of Information Technology. This position will typically advise and counsel: management and staff within assigned units and staff Office of Information Technology. This position will supervise: NA. *KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:* Duties may include but are not limited to: •Conduct web based applications development and implementation consistent with unit needs. •Maintain assigned applications providing resolution of issues in a timely manner •Maintain all required documentation related to unit web applications. •Provide direction and leadership for web related project assignments •Prepare project schedules and budgets. •Prepare formal and informal status reports and presentations. •Perform other related duties as assigned. •Conduct user interface designs & development. •Build web sites and web based solutions using content management systems. •Daily maintenance of website content •Train content author, and support *EDUCATION, SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:* Degrees required for this job: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field. Degrees preferred: Years of experience required for this job: Six to eight years job related experience Years preferred: Certifications or licenses required for this job: Certifications or licenses preferred: *SPECIALIZED SKILLS:*Specialized skills required for this job: This job requires advanced knowledge and skills in configuration and deployment of web applications including database design, web based scripting languages and web standards.
