Primary responsibility of the Windows Systems Specialist is to provide
support, monitoring and maintenance of Windows infrastructure,
applications, and servers. In addition, this position will provide the
support for Sharepoint servers and act as an escalation point for the
Helpdesk team.

The Windows Systems Specialist will use skills in Windows Server and other
Microsoft technologies on a VMware-based virtual platform to maintain a
highly-available, highly-scalable and geographically diverse infrastructure
to support business critical applications.



*ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES  RESPONSIBILITIES *

• Responsible for day-to-day administration, technical support,
and systems management of Windows servers and associated applications

• Monitor and tune systems to achieve optimal performance
levels

*• Provide account administration and support for Windows 2008
R2 Domain for a multisite Active Directory infrastructure *

*• Application configuration, maintenance, and support for
Sharepoint 2013 *

*• Assist with configuration, troubleshooting, and support of
Systems Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) *

• Perform standard configuration, management, and maintenance
tasks for VMware platform and related file systems, storage, network, and
applications

• Review and deploy Windows system related and vendor supplied
patches according to best practices

• Provide Windows DFS security administration and file system
management

• Support internal security audit activities by providing
requests for data and documentation



? Work infrastructure and Help Desk escalated cases providing issue
resolution and ticket closure within established SLAs

? Act as liaison to the Help Desk providing troubleshooting support and
resolution to escalated issues

? Deploy internal application software updates per established Change
Control process

? Proactive daily monitoring of Windows server systems, SQL databases, and
backup jobs

? Participate in disaster recovery and fault tolerance testing

? Troubleshoot and break/fix for hardware, operating system, and
application software problems

? Provide escalation support to other system administrators and systems
engineers



*MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS*

? Experience with Windows performance monitoring, tuning, troubleshooting,
and security best practices

? Previous experience with Windows 2008 R2 operating systems, roles,
services, security, permissions, and middleware

*? Knowledge of cloud-based solutions such as Office 365 *

*? Previous experience with Sharepoint Administration *

*? Previous knowledge working with SCCM *

? Demonstrated strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
