I figured put that I had to open up the bandwidth in DATA A mode, then I could 
decode. I had it set to 400 hz or so. Then I had to run the power slider all 
the way up and also the Line In Mic gain up quite a bit. I still think there is 
something wrong in my setup there. 
I also noticed that the power level increases slowly as I transmit, and 
decreases to a low level as soon as I touch the power level knob, then 
increases slowly again. I do not know what is going on there(?)
