In West University Place and Southside Place, it's only if you have a 
cell phone "IN HANDS" when stopped for a moving violation, will you get 
ticketed for using a cell phone while driving.


West University Place first started enforcing NO CELL PHONE USE in 
School zones, then later adopted the NO CELL PHONE WHILE DRIVING city 
wide, the penalty is "DOUBLE FINE" for whatever reason you were stopped 
for, typically $ 250. for speeding, if caught with a cell phone "IN 
HAND", that converts to a $ 500.00 ticket & goes on your driving record.


I know of cab drivers who have lost their job due to this, 3 strikes & 
your OUT THE DOOR.!

Try to tell a cop it doesnt apply.. they won't know or 
care..personally I dont want the hassle...the bill needs to be killed 
as is

[BVARC] BVARC Banquet Ticket Sales are ENDING

immediately.   We will be closing the web site ticket/Paypal sales at 5PM
tomorrow(Monday) evening.   A final count must be provided then to Pappas,
as per our contract.

If you have sent in by mail, you should be OK.   Anything POST MARKED
Monday Jan 14th will be honored.   Postmarked the 15th?   Too late.  Sorry.

Send me an email if you did mail a check. That way we can anticipate and
accommodate.
