Re: [BVARC] TONIGHT: Brews with BVARC

2023-09-14 Thread Sean - N5LNK via BVARC
No need to apologize Kori. I for one appreciate everything you and all those in important positions with the club are doing. I think sometimes we forget everyone involved in the club is a volunteer. With that most volunteers have full time work and family obligations that take priority. I have taken some of the responsibility on my self to create my own calendar of reoccurring events so at least I have a place holder and am not surprised when that event is draws near. Thank you for your detailed calendar and I am glad to see that now only pertinent information is posted on the website.73 deSean - N5LNKOn Sep 14, 2023, at 12:10 AM, Kori Rahman via BVARC wrote:Dwayne and all:First of all, apologies for the late notice on the Brews with BVARC event Tuesday. But to be fair I have been slipping on email alerts lately and I will make sure to have my VP monthly update email -that seemed to be well received in past months- sent out for the foreseeable future.. As many of you know I've been pretty distracted with family matters for the past several weeks, so that among other things has kept me from getting emails out earlier. BUT, to avoid this for next time I put the information for the next Brews with BVARC for the month of October below, so please mark your calendars. Speaking of calendars, I wanted to go ahead and share one I've created that holds all of the upcoming (30 days out) BVARC events. As soon as times and dates are confirmed I will place them in this calendar, so if you would like to add this calendar to your own calendar application, you will get alerts of upcoming events (in-person events and nets), and you can reference it in the future instead of having to hunt for specific events in your inbox or on the website (you should still check the website for updates though!).OCTOBER Brews with BVARC:When:Tuesday October 10th at 6:30pmWhere:Holler Brewing Co.2206 Edwards St. Suite AHouston, TX 77007BVARC Events Google Calendar (should work with Apple devices as well):Click here to add this calendar to your accountExample Screenshot:I hope this helps us all stay on the same page about upcoming club events and allows us to have even more opportunities to see each other. Thanks and 73!Kori Rahman, WX5KRBrazos Valley Amateur Radio ClubVice-President and Club Call Sign KK5W TrusteeCell: (770) 298 8516kori...@gmail.comOn Tue, Sep 12, 2023 at 2:03 PM Dwayne Jones via BVARC wrote:Kori,I do wish you would put this information out at least a week or so before it happens. Re: [BVARC] Car battery

2023-09-14 Thread Keith Dutson via BVARC
I have a friend who went to AutoZone with an old battery in his F-150 that was
about 5 years old and was failing.  The manager of the store looked him up and
found he was a Vietnam veteran.  The manager replaced the battery with the best
one available (Delco) for no charge.

They have most sizes in stock and its just quick exchange in and out with out
