[BVARC] Large Attachments

2020-05-07 Thread Bob Stroupe via BVARC
Good Afternoon,

I am asking, in the nicest way possible, that you not send large attachments in
your reflector email. A link to online storage is much preferred. Some of us
have smaller personal email boxes (mine's 100 MB) and I prefer to keep my
legacy email rather than pay more for additional space.

Thanks for you time and understanding.

[BVARC] Large Attachments On The Reflector

2019-11-06 Thread Bob Stroupe via BVARC
I am asking as nice as possible to refrain from sending large attachment on the
reflector. Some people have smaller mailbox size limits. Today’s 6 MB
attachment followed by the 23 MB attachment caused my mailbox to exceed it
limits and my provider to bounce all subsequent emails.

There are several services available to store large attachments so that a link
can be provided.

Thank you,

Bob Stroupe

Re: [BVARC] Requesting Vendor information please

2018-04-25 Thread Bob Stroupe via BVARC
I can vouch for MicroCenter's refurbished products. Bought my mom a
refurbished HP Notebook last year. The price was ok and the quality was good. I
installed a SSD as an upgrade and she uses it daily.

Re: [BVARC] FW: Scouts are calling!!! UPDATE

2018-01-28 Thread Bob Stroupe via BVARC
Ralph,

While I admire your devotion to scouting and amateur radio I have a request.
Can you please not send attachments over 2 MB to the list server? The
attachment you just sent was 11 MB. I only pay for 100 MB email box in my
personal email, mainly so I can have the same email I have had for years. Your
11 MB attachment caused my email box to be shut down temporarily.

Thank you,

Bob Stroupe

Re: [BVARC] Who is this

2015-08-15 Thread Bob Stroupe via BVARC
The person in this picture is not Paul Berlin. I worked with Paul for several years when he was on 790, KBME (i'm the Director of Engineering for iHeartMedia in Houston). Nice guy but I don't think Paul Berlin is a ham. I have been a broadcast enginner for 25 years in Houston and don't recognize the person pictured. BobWB5JWN-Original Message-

Paul Berlin I remember listening to him in the car on KQUE when my
dad would take us to (or from, can't remember which) from school in the 1980s.
