Re: [BVARC] Feedback request -- How was the Baytown EARS Swap meet?

2021-04-24 Thread Monty Weeks via BVARC
Hi all, I had a great time and picked up a new Mirage amplifier for less
than half price, that is installed and I made a 46 mile contact on Simplex
with it. It was a blast. Monty KI5JML

It was spectacular as always to see it go by at 17000MPH. Almost 4 minutes
here in League City from start to finish.

Re: [BVARC] QST Stircrazy Net control stations needed.- Update to the Net Control sheet

2020-08-02 Thread Monty Weeks via BVARC
If no one else wants to do it on this coming Tuesday (8/4), I will take the
slot. My only hesitation is that I will be down in Galveston that day, so
if someone wants to back me up in case I can't hit the repeater, then that
would be greatness. I normally don't have any problems from down there,
but we all know how that goes.

Tom, I hit the repeater from 16' from League City and 24' from Galveston.
Both radios are are 50 watts on high.
