What we should probably have said is that it's a bug fix release and
removed the Main new features header and instead list the changes.

Yes, that would make sense - could you please do that change on the
announcement template? (I'm afraid if I do it it would be much sexier at
 all :-(

I hope I have not offended you Felipe. If I have then I apologize.
Sincerely. My comment was made as a joke more than anything else.

The template is a well template. The goal of this Main new features
section is to highlight the main stuff in a release because users main not
read the full changes list.

I think we must keep it in the template. However when we do a bug fix
release maybe it should be removed and some text should say it's a bug fix
release only.

Thanks

No, you didn't of course.

Yes, I know - I even found it funny, I just answered because I haven't
read my emails for some days and there were many replies in the thread.

That was my idea - but as you mentioned, the main stuff was not really
sex :-)

release only.

Hopefully the next release (1.8) will be done using Maven, so some
plugin will take care of it :-)

Not very sexy main new features! :-)

Actually, a lot of stuff has been done, but they're listed on Jira:

http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CACTUS?report=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.project:changelog-panel

What we should probably have said is that it's a bug fix release and

he he, I think everyone (who uses cactus) was thinking that, but too shy
 to say.

:-)

I think it's fine to release bug fix releases. That's the case and it's
mentioned by the fact that it's 1.7.1 that has been released (note the last
1 minor/patch number).

What we should probably have said is that it's a bug fix release and removed
the Main new features header and instead list the changes.

2005-08-19 Thread masibonge
Hey guys
I'm new in the cactus environment, and I'd like to know how do run
cactus with the jboss 4.0.2 container because I've encountered some
errors while trying to modify the build file that comes out with the
cactus download
