Re: [Cameramakers] Pathfinder
Okay, I looked at that... but I still don't get it. I mean- why pay nearly $2700 for a camera that doesn't seem to function any better than a Graflex Crown Graphic with a top rangefinder? According to the site, this camera is pretty light- okay, the Crown Graphic does way somewhere between 4 5 pounds. But it isn't impossible to hand-hold, especially with a lens as light as the ones he mentions on his site (Rodenstock Ysarex S-K Symmars). I went hog wild last year bought a near-mint top-rangefinder Crown Graphic for almost $500 (okay- stop laughing. No, really.) and it is quite functional as a hand-held 4x5 (or 3-1/4 x 4-1/4 Pack Polaroids) plus, it's great in the field. Anybody have one of these Littman 45 Singles want to comment on it? Thanks! Re: [Cameramakers] Pathfinder
Title: Re: [Cameramakers] Pathfinder I got the inspiration from the Littman and thought it was a good idea, for travel. I love my Graflex and go every were with it. It seemed that this would be smaller and fit into one of those waist things, for those times you feel like swinging through the trees. But there is no way I could or would pink up 3K Antoine Okay, I looked at that... but I still don't get it. The camera didn't appear to be anything special. By the way a bloke in Oz does these conversions to 4x5 from the old Polaroids, often has them on that auction site. I doubt the modification is very hard to perform. All the warnings before entering the site are to prevent kooks from doing the same thing and selling them on ebay for a few hundred dollars.
