[caret-users] simple user's guide for caret

2008-01-16 Thread Sofia Crespi
Hy,
I just downloaded caret this week..versions 5.51 I guess
I'm looking for a SIMPLE user's guide to make the first approaches to caret...
wich one is the one to start with?
I started reading The basic's one but since it is a list of command is not
useful if I cannot understand what is a spec file ecc ecc...

thank you
Sofia Crespi

Sofia,

Go to http://brainmap.wustl.edu/resources/caretnew.html#Tutorials55;
and try the Caret 5.504 Quick Start Tutorial. We have used it in
workshops for a short (one hour or so) introduction to Caret.

2008-01-16 Thread Donna Dierker

Good point -- the PALS_B12 tutorial was intended as a full day tutorial.

The one John cites below is much quicker, but obviously less comprehensive.

John Harwell once said, You can't have a tutorial called 'The Basics'
that's over 80 pages. Well, I agree. Although the title is
misleading, the PALS tutorial is still a worthwhile investment of a day
for many users.
