[cayugabirds-l] Hello and Winter Photos

2011-03-26 Thread Evan Barrientos
Hi everyone,
I was subscribed to the list last fall but I never got around to introducing
myself. My name is Evan Barrientos and I'm a student at Cornell University.
I've been birding for about four years and I also do a lot of nature
photography.

These photos are a bit late, but I'd like to share a couple links, one of
feeder birds at the Lab of O (including a Rusty Blackbird) taken on Feb 25 ,
and some very poor quality documentation shots of the male Eurasian
Green-winged Teal at Lake George Jr. Hopefully I'll be sending many more eBird
lists and photo links in the future.

[cayugabirds-l] Redpolls still at feeders

2011-03-26 Thread Candace Cornell
I still have a flock of 10-40 redpolls visiting my feeders daily in Ithaca,
along with the usual throng of nuthatches, titmice, juncos, sparrows, Purple
and House finches, Goldfinches, chickadees, downies, hairies, redbellies,
crows, Red-wings, jays, cardinals, doves, etc. I thought the redpolls were
decreasing, but I had 33 this morning and 31 yesterday.

Looks like a decent birding day—Good birding all!
