[cayugabirds-l] OT - amphibian question

[Mo Barger Rooster Hill Farm]

Hi - they are installing culverts in the ditches on my road. The ditch at
the bottom of our drive contains water deep enough to host several egg
deposits. Are they safe to move to our pond?

lookout along the Plantations main loop trail.

[cayugabirds-l] Winter Wren & La Waterthrush @ RH Treman

Touring the local waterfalls with my out-of-town friend this morning, at Upper 
Treman I heard a winter wren singing, then at least two locations with 
Louisiana Waterthrush songs, possibly same or different birds. Later at 
Buttermilk falls, also a couple of Louisiana Waterthrush songs, again possibly 
same or different birds.

[cayugabirds-l] Trumansburg Village

Several Pine Siskins still taking advantage of the feeders, many more
Goldfinches today, and the very first M Purple Finch of the year. We've
also had Red-winged Blackbirds, first time in many years, and Cowbirds.

Interesting array of birds on Dryden Lake right now, including 4 surf scoters, 
6 long tail ducks, 25 female and 2 male buffleheads, 21 gulls with black heads 
(sorry I can't identify better) plus other usual culprits.
