[cayugabirds-l] Rough-legged in Schuyler County

2021-01-21 Thread Jared Dawson
I too had a Rough-legged Hawk perched on a mound and then coursing over the
large field at the south end of Black Rd just north of hwy 79, just west of
Mecklenburg. This was mid-afternoon on the 19th of January.

Re: [cayugabirds-l] Rechargeable hand warmers?

2021-01-21 Thread Nancy Cusumano
I have these things called Heat Solution by Prism. You boil them to reset them,
the press the little metal disk inside to release heat. They are sort of bulky
so good for inside gloves. I’ve had them for year they still work.

[cayugabirds-l] Rough-legged Hawk

2021-01-21 Thread Ann Mitchell
Linda and I saw one on Mt. Pleasant Road near the Observatory. It would use the
tree near there to perch looking for food. When it flew the underwings were
very light.

the disposable type (Yak-Trax) which is good for about 7 hours, and hate
