[cayugabirds-l] Rufous-sided Towhee

2022-02-04 Thread John A-X. Morris
Never know what's going to turn up at your feeders on a day like this. We
had a Rufous-sided Towhee this morning, joining in with all the usual
suspects!

Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved
body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally used up and worn out,
shouting '...Man, what a ride!' George Carlin

[cayugabirds-l] Winter Wren / Song Sparrow

2022-02-04 Thread Annette Nadeau
Yesterday on a noon-time walk along Rumsey Road in Trumansburg, I came upon
my FOY Winter Wren, hopping around on the ground near running water.
Probably about to get a drink. Such an adorable little bird.
Also, I have a Song Sparrow regularly feeding on seeds I sprinkle on the
front porch.
