Big news in Newfield 😁... five little eastern bluebird fledgelings emerged from the blue bird nest box outside our window this morning!
We have been supplementing their diet with live mealworm larvae since mid April. It seems to have helped. Adults had attempted, unsuccessfully, to fledge a brood for the last two years.
