While raising my coffee cup in a toast to our great Bell Station news, 3 LOUD
Carolina Wrens repeatedly serenaded me outside the porch screen just now! 2
singing various songs & 1 buzzing excitedly!

> A friend who serves as an election inspector during voting told me this true
> story about a bird myth:
>
> 1 voter mentioned that his feeder hummingbirds may have migrated south, then
> another, older male voter overhearing this said, “Oh no, hummingbirds have
> not left yet because the geese are still here! “
>
> When asked to explain what he meant, the older man said, “the geese carry the
> hummingbirds on their backs to migrate south and they have not left, so the
> hummingbirds are still here, too!”
>
> I wish it were so!
>
> Thanks to all who helped get Bell Station off the auction block!
