I just saw a charming sight in one of our Scotch pines: a male Downy Woodpecker feeding a bit of suet to what appeared to be a fledgling.

And our House Wrens are doing fine so far in their preferred nest box, which is the only one I left up, since they were set on it. I see the adults coming and going and hear the nestlings twittering.
