Monday at 4:30pm I saw and heard perhaps a dozen Golden Crowned Kinglets throughout the Roy H Park Preserve – Baldwin Tract off Irish Settlement Road south of Goodband Rd – starting at the parking lot all the way to the entrance down to the gorge outside the preserve - many showing their impressive golden crowns. Also heard two Great Horned Owls, surprisingly early in the day.
