Yesterday evening around 7, while biking up Buffalo St, I heard some strange vocalizations that eventually included some more familiar merlin calls as one bird flew over to a tree at the corner with Schuyler Place. No binoculars so did not see the noisemakers, but the unusualness could be a fledgling call of some sort?
