This afternoon John Confer, Julia Gillis, Michaela TerAvest, and I drove up to the NYSDEC office on Morgan rd. in the Montezuma complex and had wonderful views of no fewer than 5 short-eared owls gliding and careening over the fields. We also saw a harrier and a strike in a shrub in the field. We had a great time, and I highly recommend making the trip!
