Hi all,
I was out in the corn field helping colleagues to weed their corn plots on
Britt Road near Poplar Ridge. There is a medium sized farm pond. Here we
observed an Osprey diving into the pond for a fish and came up with nothing and
dove again and finally picked up a fish and headed towards in the direction of
lake. So there must be a nest somewhere in that direction. I don't remember
one near Aurora being reported. Does anyone know any location south of Aurora?

Also I saw several time a pair of Horned Larks, Red-tailed Hawk, lots of Barn
and Tree Swallows with a few Rough-winged swallows and lots of odonates.
