As I was driving down Rte 89 towards Ithaca this morning, just past the Pines,
an osprey carrying a big fish flew, low, several hundred yards along the
roadway just in front of me.

Our SFO group had an OSPREY perched in a tree at the Myer's Point Marina
this morning. I wonder if it is the bird you speak of??

[cayugabirds-l] Osprey at Salt Point

2013-04-23 Thread Robyn Bailey
Last night, Paul and I watched an Osprey fishing off Salt Point; it caught a
fish and perched to share it with a mate. Then, one of the 2 birds was roosting
in the new platform for about 10 minutes, although it doesn't look like nest
material has been added at this point. Sightings have been consistent, and
hopefully the platform will get some use this year.
