I followed the Blue Jay flock through my binocs as they flew off, they landed in the distance several times , in oaks as far as I could tell, but didn't stick around. Has anyone noticed whether the acorn crop is good this year in the region? I have not seen very many acorns on my trips to the Cornell Arboretum. Last year there were masses of acorns there and the resident Blue Jays were harvesting them and flying off to store them for weeks.
