The *Full Stack Software Architect* position will operate within critical
parts of the application stack to address both near term goals and long
term refactoring.  The role will perform critical decision making around
patterns, platforms, methodologies, and tools for the next version of our
product and mentor team members in understanding and coding to the designs.

Technical decisions are made with careful and quick consideration at our
COMPANY, so you can utilize the latest, most innovative technology;
allowing you to always learn and progress. We have a fully working
prototype built on a solid tech infrastructure; our backend and databases
are yours to build, the way you know is right, with freedom on the
decisions / issues that support the direction you choose.

Minimum Requirements

   - *6+ years of experience*
   - Outstanding full-stack engineer and architect
   - *Strong Python plus one other general purpose language (e.g. Java,
   Scala, C#)*
   - Strong *relational and non-relational data modeling and data store
   design*
   - Experience building distributed and highly available systems
   - Must be fluent in *RESTful API* design
   - Familiarity with *common front-end frameworks*
   - Doesn't need to be javascript expert but *should understand role of
   design patterns applied to front-end via AngularJS*
   - *Good basic understanding of current enterprise architecture best
   practices*
   - Preference to candidates who've successfully worked within *Agile
   framework*

Engagement Description

-10+ years of low latency application experience
-15 years of Java coding
-Must have experience with tuning JVMs
-Must have written code with techniques to minimize GC
-Knowledge of GC operation is a must
-10 years of Linux
-5 years of working with messaging products, such as Tibco, Google protocol
buffers, MQ
-Extensive knowledge of multi-threading
-Basic FIX knowledge is required, 5 years working with FIX protocol
-Basic SQL and database operations using Oracle

Preferred Project or Engagement Background

Profile and benchmark existing code at component and overall system level.
Write scripts to generate and automate regressing testing
Develop load testing harness
Analyse performance benchmark data and identify performance bottlenecks
Tune JVM and related object libraries to minimize GC
Simplify database schema and devise ways to cache data to lower IO latencies
Conduct Design and Code reviews
Rewrite portions of existing code or write new utilities as required for
improve performance and scalability of the overall system
