2011-07-06 Thread Bartosz Sokolowski
Hi,

If you checked all prompts in CCX and didn't find it's probably not there :)
The only default prompt I know which ends with will be with you shortly
is BACD's en_bacd_allagentsbusy.au
Maybe that is what you are lookin for?

[OSL | CCIE_Voice] SHOW CDP Neighbor Error On 2811 Router HWIC-4ESW POE

2011-07-06 Thread Webb Posey
Any ideas as to what would cause a Cisco 7965 not to show up in CDP
when I perform the command 'Show CDP neighbor besides no cdp enable
being configured on the port, or no cdp advertise-v2, or the port
being shutdown?

The phone is connected to a HWIC-4ESW with POE daughter card in a 2811 Router.

The phone receives power, and when plugged into the other port it works fine.

Relevant Config of HWIC below and router below. Any global CDP
commands I could be missing or some type of static config that would
cause only 1 Phone to show up?

Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] SHOW CDP Neighbor Error On 2811 Router HWIC-4ESW POE

2011-07-06 Thread Hough, Earl
Is this something new on existing hardware, or new hardware/module? Does show
diag show anything out of the ordinary for that HWIC module compared to the
router that works correctly? It could be a bad port if this is something new.
There really isn't all that much configuration to be done on an HWIC-4ESW and
clean config should at least show the CDP neighbor if the interface is up and
the phone boots.

2011-07-06 Thread Hough, Earl
That's where I would place my money - bad port, if you're able to use the other
3 ports no problem. I'd still compare the outputs of show diag with a router
that has a fully functional module, just to make sure something there isn't
being reported differently, as in firmware version, part number, etc.

If you have another router with the exact same config that passes - why not
swap the 4ESW cards and see if the problem follows the 4ESW or stays with
the chassis?

Yeah, I am leaning towards bad port, changing it to a trunk port has no
effect. The card is brand new. I heard a rumor of people running into this
issue on the actual lab but I'm thinking this is hardware related. Just
wanted to throw it out there in case someone knew something, but I'm
thinking bad port and bad rumor.

No its an authentic card from Cisco. The problem stayed with the
router as well. I tried another card that is known working. I
compared config line by line and didn't notice any differences. The
IOS is the same on both 2811's as well and I have tried it in multiple
slots.

[OSL | CCIE_Voice] PSTN-WAN call drop scenario

2011-07-06 Thread Adil Shaikh
hi experts,

in ipexpert lab, i make call from HQ phone to PSTN-WAN via CUBE, when the
call is answered by PSTN-WAN phone, call fails. This is due to codec
mismatch and i can get 'TSC rejected' message in 'debug h245 asn1'. I have
been succeful in simulating this on everytime in last 5 attempts on ipexpert
lab.

few days back, i used other providers lab for which i paid lot of money. i
did same configuration as i do on ipexpert lab (that is create g729 region
which talks to HQ and BR1 region as g729. Assign g729 region to GK device
pool. Assign this device pool to GK trunk).
(note: I use this trunk to make a 4 digit call to BR2 phone and when i
do 'show gatekeeper call', i see 16k used. So, i know that GK trunk is
definately using g729 codec.)
for PSTN-WAN, i configured CUBE as well. When i make a call to
PSTN-WAN when the call is answered call does not drop. I was expecting it to
drop due to codec mismatch.

Here is my configuration on HQ router:

Do you guys see any problem in above config. Have you come across similar
situation in non-IPexpert lab for which you have paid lot of money?
If so, how did you resolve it.

I lost my phones and router I used to connect to proctorlabs because I
started a new job. I know I can use a CIPC and multiple IP Blue phones
(with hack), but I had another idea I wondered if anybody has tried. Has
anybody used multiple VMs with CIPC on them to connect with proctorlabs?
The only thing I am unsure about, is if all VMs can go through the vpn setup
through vpn client. Is this possible without a cisco router?

Hi Adam,

I havent tried that on proctorlabs. But i have done something for some
other testing. i had to simulate 15 phones. so i used 3 vm's of
windows xp and the IP blue multi lab version. it worked for me. just
put the vm in to NAT mode.
