[OSL | CCIE_Voice] QoS question from new 5 labs, lab 2, question 10.1

2012-01-27 Thread John McGaughey (jomcgaug)
Hello,

From the new 5 labs, Lab 2 question 10.1 it asks the following.

For traffic being sent to the Site A gateway ensure that traffic marked
with COS 5 is dropped if queue 1 is 75% full.

The solution guide says to add queue-set 2 to the fastethernet port and
change the following 2 line like so.

mls qos queue-set output 2 threshold 1 75 100 100 100

mls qos srr-queue output cos-map queue 1 threshold 3 5

the 2nd line looks like a typo. It should be the following for putting
COS 5 into q1t1, correct?

mls qos srr-queue output cos-map queue 1 threshold 1 5

John

Think the same, since 3rd threshold performs tail drop.

3rd threshold is 100% implicit. So that wouldn't work since it will drop when
100% full.

You are correct John. Also note that the interface would need to be set to
use queue-set 2 because default is queue-set 1.

[OSL | CCIE_Voice] UCCX App Admin Account Question

2012-01-27 Thread Josh Kittle
Question for the group re: UCCX

When you install UCCX, You're asked to create an Application
Administrator. You use this account to first login to the UCCX system to
perform basic configuration. One of these steps is to select call maanger
administrators that will be UCCX Administrators.

Do you ever use this account again? Once you define call manager accounts
as UCCX administrators, this Application Administrator account doesn't seem
to work any longer. Is it still there? Can you change the password?
When would you need this credential?

Thanks guys!

Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] UCCX App Admin Account Question

2012-01-27 Thread Gurpreet Singh Kukreja
Hi Josh,

When the UCCX is integrated with the CM, it uses an active End user account
to be the Application Administrator Account to login into AppAdmin page.

When you run the Fresh Install setup for the first time, you use the
Default username and password for running this setup. You would not use
this username/ password again in normal operations. You'd always use the CM
end user account for maintaining operations.

There could be scenarios where you might need the Default username/
password in case you need to run this setup again for any reason.

Once you run the initial setup and choose the user from the CM end user
section, the setup completes. Once the setup completes, from that point
onwards you only use the CM End user account you made the Admin.

You can again use this username if you need to by setting the CCX system to
Fresh Install mode again using the CET tool. You can access the CET tool
from within the Windows Server:

1) Click Start Run
2) Type cet or cet.bat
3) A new window pops asking to click Yes/No. Always click NO.
4) Look for the tab on the left hand side of the window which goes by the
name, com.cisco.crs.cluster.config.AppAdminSetupConfig. Highlight this
tab and it would show either a single entry in case of a standalone setup/
multiple entries in case of an HA setup.
5) Choose the one for the Publisher. You can identify it by looking at the
Key Value and it should be 1 for Publisher. Double click on it.
6) Go to the second tab on the new window which come on the screen.
7) Select, FRESH_INSTALL from the dropdown and click apply and OK.

Now, launch the AppAdmin page again and you'd be able to use the Default
username and password. Keep in mind, the settings which you put in place
when you ran through the setup the first time would still be there. So, if
you don't mean to change anything, keep clicking NEXT until the setup
completes. Once it completes, close the page and once again you'd be able
to use the CM End user account to login.

HTH

Gurpreet
