Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] Trancoding

2012-09-19 Thread Bill Lake
Can you give us more information, you say VM does not work but does it work
for local callers? does it work for PSTN callers? Or do you not have PSTN
callers?

Can you dial the VM directly?

What are the results of show sccp conn when you do this?

We just don't have any information but a partial config and it doesn't
work. Not enough to go on.

Now this is just a wild guess but I seem to remember someone else having an
issue like this and they resolved it by using the loopback and not a sub
interface. Of course I could be completely wrong as this is just something
that is in my foggy memory but don't think it could hurt to try.

On another note, why do you have

interface GigabitEthernet0/0.100

encapsulation dot1Q 100

ip address 10.4.2.1 255.255.255.0

h323-gateway voip interface

h323-gateway voip h323-id cme
h323-gateway voip bind srcaddr 10.4.2.1

you appear to be setting up for a Gatekeeper but do not have the rest of
the commands. If this is just an H323 gateway you do not need h323-gateway
voip interface or h323-gateway voip h323-id cme

2012-09-19 Thread Chrysostomos Christofi
Hi Bill

And thank you for the reply

We have a cue module into cme router(remote branch)
The local users(registered to cme) does not have any issue with voice mail or AA

Calls from cucm extensions to cme extensions using g729(through device
pool/region)
I am able to reach any extension in cme but not the voice mail and AA
Since we are using g729 for this remote branch(cme) and the voicemail in cme
using g711 then for sure I need a transcoding
But the problem continue , and the transcoding looks to be registered with the
local cme router

It's a pure h323 gw and I agree with you that the two commands are not
necessary but its not here the issue :)

Calls from cucm extensions to cme extensions using g729(through device
pool/region) I am able to reach any extension in cme but not the voice
mail and AA Since we are using g729 for this remote branch(cme) and
the voicemail in cme using g711 then for sure I need a transcoding But
the problem continue , and the transcoding looks to be registered with
 the local cme router

It's a pure h323 gw and I agree with you that the two commands are not
necessary but its not here the issue :)

Can you give us more information, you say VM does not work but does it work
for local callers? does it work for PSTN callers? Or do you not have PSTN
 callers?

Can you dial the VM directly?

What are the results of show sccp conn when you do this?

We just don't have any information but a partial config and it doesn't work.
  Not enough to go on.

Now this is just a wild guess but I seem to remember someone else having an
issue like this and they resolved it by using the loopback and not a sub
interface. Of course I could be completely wrong as this is just something
that is in my foggy memory but don't think it could hurt to try.

On another note, why do you have

 interface GigabitEthernet0/0.100
 encapsulation dot1Q 100
 ip address 10.4.2.1 255.255.255.0
 h323-gateway voip interface
 h323-gateway voip h323-id cme
 h323-gateway voip bind srcaddr 10.4.2.1

you appear to be setting up for a Gatekeeper but do not have the rest
of the commands. If this is just an H323 gateway you do not need
h323-gateway voip interface or h323-gateway voip h323-id cme

  Hi Bill

And thank you for the reply

We have a cue module into cme router(remote branch) The local
users(registered to cme) does not have any issue with voice mail or
  AA

Calls from cucm extensions to cme extensions using g729(through
  device
pool/region) I am able to reach any extension in cme but not the
voice mail and AA Since we are using g729 for this remote branch(cme)
and the voicemail in cme using g711 then for sure I need a
transcoding But the problem continue , and the transcoding looks to
be registered with the local cme router

It's a pure h323 gw and I agree with you that the two commands are
not necessary but its not here the issue :)

[OSL | CCIE_Voice] 3945 mgcp voice gateway inbound/outbound call with no voice

2012-09-19 Thread darshan
Dear Experts;

We have replaced the old 3745 Voice gateway with 3945 and this gateway is
registered in cucm 7.0 as mgcp gateway.

We replace the Box and put the new 3945 in rack and plug out the E1 and
Ethernet cable and plugin in 3945.

From call manager side we deleted the 3745 and added 3945 and it registered.

Call established outbound and inbound and for both calls there is No VOICE
in both the ways.

Appreciate your help.
