All, I had a very frustrating session this morning. I could not login to the
Publisher, even though I could connect with the browser. Didn’t work in IE or
Firefox. I could log into the subscriber but saw that there was a configuration
already loaded. When I tried to save any changes, just got ‘Connecting’ in the
browser, no further. Never could do anything with CallManager. I reverted and
loaded two other labs, same issue. It seems the Pod29 was extremely messed up.
Saturday’s session loaded a completely different lab from the one I requested.
Had to revert and load again, 25 minutes down the drain.
Proctorlabs Support, I am requesting two vouchers for the 8 hour session that
I couldn’t work on. There are some serious bugs in your lab gear. Regards,

Subject: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] Is there anyone working in Proctorlabs in weekends?
 Hi
 All,

I don't know what to say or whom to complain to?

This's the second day I'm having difficulty in working in my online sessions
with Proctorlabs vracks.

I contacted supp...@ipexpert.com and supp...@proctorlabs.com and afterhours
support but no one answering

Yesterday I asked the support if I can extend my current session by booking a
new following session but no one answered. I tried booking a new following
session hoping it will be linked up automatically but unfortunately it didn't.

So after that I had to stop my work after feeling frustrated.

Today I booked three consecutive sessions but the same problem happened again
but in a different form.
I noticed the remaining
time is 3 hrs and 40 minutes in the first session and informed the support
guys but no one is answering.
After finishing my first session, I thought it will be disconnected but the
remaining time changed to 24 hours. Okay feeling happy with the new hours but
then maybe after about 30 minutes I found my telnet session got disconnected
and I can't access them or access the servers and after refreshing my account
at Proctorlabs site , I found the pod has changed. So means everything has gone.

The sessions were not linked-up as what they told us.

I just wonder whom to complain in such cases?

BTW,I also schedule sessions in the other competitor company vracks but to say
the truth I found their support and response are very good. Not only that but
they gave me back my credits and more.

Thanks for any help and regards.

increase the likelihood of available channels.

Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] How to configure Clocking for GW's

2013-07-03 Thread Michael.Sears
First of all the question itself is ambiguous as clocking occurs at the
physical layer of the OSI model. The DCE side is the PSTN and the DTE side is
the user side and both reside at layer 1.
The question really doesn't make sense.
!
Question:
Take clocking for Layer 1 from Network side.
Your PRI clocking of layer 2 should be user side. No clocking at layer 2
!
In answer you your query about verification use the show controller t1 0/0/0
to determine if the circuit is running clean. Another useful command is show
interface serial 0/0/0:23.
!
With show controller your verifying, framing, line coding, clocking and you're
looking for errors such as:
!
Data in current interval (90 seconds elapsed):
0 Line Code Violations, 0 Path Code Violations
0 Slip Secs, 0 Fr Loss Secs, 0 Line Err Secs, 0 Degraded Mins
0 Errored Secs, 0 Bursty Err Secs, 0 Severely Err Secs, 0 Unavail Secs
!
The show interface command will show you MTU, Bandwidth, Delay, Reliability,
and transmit and receive load as well as possible errors:
!
R1#show interface serial 0/0/0:23
Serial0/0/0:23 is up, line protocol is up (spoofing)
  Hardware is DSX1
  MTU 1500 bytes, BW 64 Kbit/sec, DLY 2 usec,
 reliability 255/255, txload 1/255, rxload 1/255
  Encapsulation HDLC, loopback not set
Last input 00:00:13, output never, output hang never
Last clearing of show interface counters never
Input queue: 0/75/0/0 (size/max/drops/flushes); Total output drops: 0
  Queueing strategy: weighted fair
  Output queue: 0/1000/64/0 (size/max total/threshold/drops)

[OSL | CCIE_Voice] Presence issue

2013-07-03 Thread Daniel Gómez
Hello,

Has anybody ever experienced issues with presence clients and user's first
and last name not showing even on the user's client itself?

I'm integrating CUCM with presence but for some reason the user name would
appear as username@domain instead of First and Last name. I'm talking about
the name we should see on top of jabber presence status.

Dear Experts,

Can I use single T1 Line from any carrier such as ATT or Verizon for Voice
and Data at the same time?
Or it must be one dedicated for each?

Thanks,

Hi Experts,
that answered my questions
If the T1 is Dynamic T1 or Integrated then It can combine voice and DATA?
http://www.carrierschoice.com/what_is_a_t1.html

I have another questions.
If I have SIP Circuit from a telco (Verizon) can I have a voice T1 from ATT
to work as backup for the SIP?

Thanks,
Hesham

You can run voice over a data t1 from most providers. This could be as a sip or
h323 trunk (perhaps other ways too)

My recommendation is to get one with QoS that matches your needs

Bill thanks for your great participating.
Let me ask you more challenging question
If I have SIP from Verizon and I have Dynamic/Integrated T1 from ATT. Can I
have the Dynamic T1 work as backup for Verizon's SIP?
I know that if you have the same service provider you can make T1 Line can
work as backup for SIP but I don't know if that will work out on different
providers?

Thanks,

Only if the service provider slows it

So an example would be in your case Verizon accepts the SIP trunk from their IP
10.10.10.1 and they could also accept it from 20.20.20.1 on an ATT circuit

What they most likely wont do is promise it will work as well

Subject: RE: How to configure Clocking for GW's

First of all the question itself is ambiguous as clocking occurs at the
physical layer of the OSI model.  The DCE side is the PSTN and the DTE side is
the user side and both reside at layer 1.
The question really doesn’t make sense.
!
Question:
Take clocking for Layer 1 from Network side.
Your PRI clocking of layer 2 should be user side.  No clocking at layer 2
!
In answer you your query about verification use the “show controller t1 0/0/0”
to determine if the circuit is running clean.  Another useful command is “show
interface serial 0/0/0:23”.
!
With show controller your verifying, framing, line coding, clocking and you’re
looking for errors such as:
!
Data in current interval (90 seconds elapsed):
0 Line Code Violations, 0 Path Code Violations
0 Slip Secs, 0 Fr Loss Secs, 0 Line Err Secs, 0 Degraded Mins
0 Errored Secs, 0 Bursty Err Secs, 0 Severely Err Secs, 0 Unavail Secs
!
The show interface command will show you MTU, Bandwidth, Delay, Reliability,
and transmit and receive load as well as possible errors:
!
R1#show interface serial 0/0/0:23
Serial0/0/0:23 is up, line protocol is up (spoofing)
  Hardware is DSX1
  MTU 1500 bytes, BW 64 Kbit/sec, DLY 2 usec,
 reliability 255/255, txload 1/255, rxload 1/255
  Encapsulation HDLC, loopback not set
Last input 00:00:13, output never, output hang never
Last clearing of show interface counters never
Input queue: 0/75/0/0 (size/max/drops/flushes); Total output drops: 0
  Queueing strategy: weighted fair
  Output queue: 0/1000/64/0 (size/max total/threshold/drops)
 Conversations  0/1/256 (active/max active/max total)
 Reserved Conversations 0/0 (allocated/max allocated)
 Available Bandwidth 48 kilobits/sec
  5 minute input rate 0 bits/sec, 0 packets/sec
  5 minute output rate 0 bits/sec, 0 packets/sec
613735 packets input, 2458376 bytes, 0 no buffer
 Received 0 broadcasts, 0 runts, 0 giants, 0 throttles
 0 input errors, 0 CRC, 0 frame, 0 overrun, 0 ignored, 0 abort
 613719 packets output, 2456979 bytes, 0 underruns
0 output errors, 0 collisions, 0 interface resets
 0 unknown protocol drops
0 output buffer failures, 0 output buffers swapped out
 1 carrier transitions
