[OSL | CCIE_Voice] CCNA Voice certification preparation
Hi, I realize this is slightly off topic here, but the list for CCNA Voice bounces. Haven't tried the CCNP Voice list, but as the archives are empty, I assume the same problem. I took the 640-461 ICOMM exam towards CCNA Voice a couple of weeks ago, and unfortunately failed. I had the impression a lot of topics were not covered in the official cert guide from Cisco Press. Are there any resources to prepare for this exam which are better suited? Sorry again for being slightly off topic. Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] CCIE Voice PASSED !!!!!!!
Dear All, I suggest all the ccie voice candidate should buy ip expert ccie voice workbook vol 1 and 2. IP expert workbook really complex and awesome to go beyond ccie Lab.I felt ccie voice lab exam was much simpler than those workbooks.Once you finished each IP expert workbook lab (lab 1 to 10) without any refernce and in the proper time , you are ready to go for the exam. I had never attend any ccie voice bootcamp as I was unable to manage the cost for that. But What I did was arranged entire Lab including CUE with me at home. I really appreciate the ip expert team for the way they made such wonderful and strong CCIE Voice Workbooks. Ash, I think you are not talking about lab setup . If you are facing this problem in the real world, this is normal behavior. Normally All ISPs dont allow to send external calling party number (other the pri did numbers you subscribed from them) on the trunk lines. Callmanager will forward this information to pri/anlog trunk, but once it reaches ISP,they will convert normally to pri pilot number. Fingers crossed for your next attempt. We are finally reaching a point where we have completed all the labs, VOD and Vol 1 walkthru’s etc, etc. Our next task, once the vol 2 walkthru’s are complete, will be to revisit all the WB labs/solutions and correct typos and add more detailed explanations where necessary. It has been a difficult job to record/write new material and at the same time support the existing labs- hopefully we can improve the job we are doing on the product maintenance from now on. I, as always, would appreciate any feedback (privately if bad, publicly if good- LOL:-) you have on the VOD, WB and Walkthrus. -- Vik Malhi – CCIE #13890 Instructor - IPexpert, Inc. I want to say that IPE matriel is much better with more and more indepth tasks and solution and more explanations. The point that the proctor guide in some labs - especially volume II - not 100 % accurate , so you will have to try a little . Also I recommend you IPE Walkthrough videos, which is a must [ I heared some of volume one videos and it is really excellent]. For INE the best is thier VoD by Josh Fink which is really very good. In brief, The IPE Workbooks 1,2 are the best along with walkthrough video's. Note: I already tried lab last month with no luck and found IPE material is very good along with the Outstanding bootcamp with Vik. Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] Reset CUCM 7.x to initial config on VM Ware (Wael Agina)
First posting/reply, so please let me know if there is a more preferred way to post/reply. Wael, in VM (if you have the diskspace and depending how long you want to retain the full setup) you have the ability to do a snapshot of the entire host system based on time/date. It's not a 1:1 ratio of disk space for each snapshot. VM logs the incremental changes to minimize disk consumption. Outside VM, you might want to check COBRAS. I know BARS was available in CM4.x..I'm still getting up to speed w/ 7. HTH, Tom ___ For more information regarding industry leading CCIE Lab training, please visit www.ipexpert.com
[OSL | CCIE_Voice] ccmuser access
Hi guys, I'm having a frustrating problem that I'm sure there is a simple answer for. I want to restrict the functionality of the ccmuser web interface and alow a single ldap user per site to configure speed dials for all phones on a site by site basis. I created the ldap user, associated that user with the main line of site A and associated all phones for that site to the user as controlled devices. I then: Created a Role with restricted access. Created a User Group and assigned the Role Assigned the User Group to the user The user is assigned the Standard CCM End Users role and the Restricted Access Role I followed the same proceedure for my own ldap account and it works fine. But for the newly created user I get a Log on failed - Invalid User ID or Password. What needs to be enabled for a user to access ccmuser? Any Ideas? Cheers, Tom
