How about checking your installation media to see if hash is allright? I onca
had similar case and corrupted image was the reason. I guess it would be
quicker
to just reinstall the whole thing in a few minutes (VMware installations are
very fast...)

This might be obvious, but... see if you're not using any proxy which block the
admin page.
This is still perfectly possible, since you didn't provide any detailed
information about your error.

Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] CallManager 6.x/7.x web page issue

2011-01-12 Thread Christoph Hable
Hi!

Did you make a clean install or applied any patches? Can you tell me which
release you installed?
I got stuck in one specific 7.1.X release after upgrading where tomcat was
not able to start. with the newest release (7.1.5bsu3) the problem was
solved! So it was an upgrade issue between two releases.

Nevertheless your behaviour is, that it starts but you cannot open any
website...so did you have a look into the logfiles of tomcat? You can
collect them via CLI as well to any sftp-server.
Did you try out a re-install already? Mabye the image is corrupted.

The error message as already mentioned (4xx or 5xx) would be interesting as
well. If you run into a timeout it is just not routed or get blocked. Please
verify that first.
Last reason could be a DNS mismatch (wrong entry on DNS server) - did you
applied DNS during installation? Please post "show network eth0 detail" from
CLI for a verification.

Regards,
Christoph H.

Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] CallManager 6.x/7.x web page issue

2011-01-12 Thread Pablo Meneses
Most of the time, utils service restart Cisco Tomcat, does not do the trick,
it is better to do:

1) utils service stop Cisco Tomcat, then
2) utils service start Cisco Tomcat

I know this sounds silly, however as per my previous experiences with exact
the same scenario, it is better to do it like that.

If that does not work, please copy the message that you receive on the
screen since it is very important to find out whether you are getting an 4XX
or 5XX error.

Also, do you get the same error when using IE and Firefox?

Let me know.

Try and go to just http://, you'll see a page with a link that
will redirect you, see if that works, otherwise try https://:8443/ccmadmin.

Also make sure "Cisco Tomcat" is running from the command line using "utils
