[OSL | CCIE_Voice] SNR

2013-03-03 Thread Stacy Vacca
I am working on SRN in Lab 5C. I am having issues with Internal Calls
ringing my mobile device. I call from CME Site or PSTN. It
successfully rings line 2 on PSTN Phone. I call from any phone
registered to CUCM and it will not ring my mobile number on the PSTN
Phone. I can answer the call on HQ Phone 2 and push the mobility
button and successfully transfer the call out and then bring it back.
Thoughts?

Thanks

Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] SNR

2013-03-03 Thread Jason Lee
The call to the mobile phone from the Mobility feature uses the Redirecting
CSS at the RDP of the user. None of the internal phones would have access
to use that CSS unless ofcourse it is the same CSS assigned to phones, but
that wouldn't be a great way to set up SNR. It's best to have dedicated
Class of Control.

What is the behavior you get when you dial (Call Can't be Completed as
Dialed or fast busy)? If you are getting the message about incorrectly
dialed number I'd start looking at the Route Patterns, Partitions and
Calling Search Spaces associated with the phones in CUCM. If it's fast
busy you may have a case where you aren't passing the right digits or
plan/type to the PSTN. Standard PSTN debugging should work to help out
with that (debug voice diapleer and debug issn q931).

Hope this helps!

Jason

[OSL | CCIE_Voice] SNR

2013-03-03 Thread Stacy Vacca
Well I have an update. If I call 5002 from 5001 at HQ it rings PSTN
Line 2 Immediately. Call from BR1 Site to 5002 rings the phone. I can
answer the phone and transition to and from the PSTN phone line 2.
But i can not get the original call to ring the PSTN at all from BR1.

[OSL | CCIE_Voice] SNR with SIP Trunk on CUBE SP

2012-01-10 Thread ccieid1ot
Hi guys,

We have an issue of SNR not able to complete the calls to remote
destination since the SIP Provider is authenticating on DIDs. The
customer's CUCM is connected to our CUBE SP (ASR 1000) and we're connected
to our SIP Provider. Example: I call into the phone 4242862304, it has
SNR to 13102832382, but call fails to the Remote Destination because in the
SIP message it shows my number as the calling party.

CUCM 8.6.1 CUBE SP IOS 15.x SIP Provider

We have tried setting these options in the SIP Trunk settings of CUCM.

Outbound Calls
Last Redirect Number (External)

check Redirecting Diversion Header Deliver - Outbound

I have a TAC case open but they're more confused than I am. I have also
attached the debug.

Maybe I'm missing some commands on the CUBE SP to allow Diversion Headers?
Not sure, I'm new to CUBE SP.

2012-01-10 Thread datucha123 datucha123
First of all, if you have an issue with Redirecting Number, then you can
use the SIP Profile to correct the Diversion Header.

And if you have an issue with ANI, then you have to set the Calling Party
Transformation CSS for Remote Destination Profile.

The Remote Destination Profile ignores any Calling Party Translation at
Translation Pattern, Route Pattern, Route List, and even the Gateway/Trunk
Calling Party Transformation and uses the Internal DN Extension.

The only way to deal with Calling Party Translation when the call goes to
Remote Destination Number is to use the Calling Party Transformation CSS at
the Remote Destination Profile.

Hope that helps.

So in those questions, what wording triggers you to use Application Dial
Rules?
Why can you just make your RD = +14087773434 and make a specific RP =\+1! to
go out the specific gw; like Randall has?

thanks:

Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] SNR -- RC

2011-05-23 Thread Cristobal Priego
what happen with that is when you call from that line to an internal
extension, if your gateway is MGCP it will not invoke the smart shared
line and the called phone will display +14087773434 insteaad of the
internal extension
and this is because the match is made before any prefix is added to the
number. and that just wouldn't work

Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] SNR -- RC

2011-05-23 Thread givemeccievoice2010
If your Remote Destination is 4087773434, your route pattern in css-snr
would need to look like that, not “\+.!”. Unless you are asked for
redundancy with your GWs or to use the Application Dial Rules specifically,
the easiest way to meet the SNR requirement is a SNR partition with a Route
Pattern that will point directly to the local GW for that phone.

Also, the complete match service parameter has to do with incoming from PSTN
and/or recognizing for MVA, not SNR. I think you were assuming the 10 digit
match would allow the route pattern to be used, but that is not the case.

Hope this helps,

Jeff

Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] SNR -- RC

2011-05-22 Thread Randall Saborio
How would that call be sent out to the gateway?

Your RD is 408
But your route pattern is \+!

Options could be:
- Add the + to the RD.
- Configure a dialing rule to add the + when area code is 408
- Configure a dialing rule to add 91 when area code is 408 and use one of
the already configured patterns.

[OSL | CCIE_Voice] SNR problem Vol2 lab6

2010-06-15 Thread kerboute kerboute

Hi guys,

I was working on vol2 lab6 question 3.1, And I cannot get the Mobile
number ring on br1 phones or br2 phones as if it's coming from hq ph2,
however when I've called from Mobile PSTN to hq phones I can see that
the number is from HQ Phone2 (4002).

I know that is a problem with the calling party transformation but I
can't get it. I'm sure that I've setup the right transformation but I
don't know what I'm missing on the other side. Also I'v tried to load
the Final config on Proctor to chech and still get the same problem.

Also for the localization, when I put the callingPartytransformation
css on the phone as described on IP expert book is not working, I have
to put the css on the device pool.

Any Ideas??

The calling Party No displayed is 2001 instead of full External NO mask.

When I make direct call from 2001 or 2003 to PSTN i can see External NO

Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] SNR Issues

2010-01-19 Thread James Buchanan
Hello,

When using the local Route Group, the calling phone will use its own
route group instead of the route group associated with the rerouting
CSS, partition, and pattern of the remote destination profile. So, if I
am in Orlando, and you are in Nashville, if I am calling from my Orlando
phone, it would use my Orlando gateway.

The solution to the problem of the remote destination (which could be
seven digits) would be use application dial rules and have everyone
input their remote destination as 10 digits.

Thanks,

James

Hi,

To discard css/pt issues, temporarily configure the mva call destination (an
internal extension should be good) in the none partition,

Let us know if you still get the same message,

Also, do you have the “Enable Mobile Voice Access” call manager service
parameter set to true?, it’s false by default,

It is also very important that your router outgoing voip dialpeer destination
pattern matches the mva number and length you defined in the Media Resources-
Mobile Voice Access- Mobile Voice Access Directory Number, otherwise your
calls will be dropped,

Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] SNR, TWO stage dialling

2009-11-20 Thread Vik Malhi
I¹ve spent 100+ hours on this particular issue and my conclusion is that the
CSS applied to the RDP is flaky.

If you hear the annunciator when calling an extension using 2 stage dialing
from the ³cell phone² then I suggest you try creating a new CSS and
assigning it to the RDP rather than using an existing CSS. Weird I know but
this has fixed the issue several times for me in the past. However all the
things that have been mentioned in this thread are also very much
applicable.

[OSL | CCIE_Voice] SNR issue: vol 2 lab 4, 3.1

2009-10-07 Thread Aamir Panjwani
I have configured SNR few times but this time I have got weird problem.
Call from any phone to HQ ph2 5002 it rings out to mobile (PSTN line 2)
after 2 seconds as per requirement. I can hang up on mobile and can
resume the call on HQ ph2 . However, when I click mobility softkey on HQ
ph2 and select send call to mobile phone nothing happens at all. Then
I press mobility softkey again and this time softkey wouldn't work as
well.

Doubled checked the config but don't see any problem...has anyone come
across this issue before?

thanks

Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] SNR issue: vol 2 lab 4, 3.1

2009-10-07 Thread Aamir Panjwani
ok finally spending hour on it and going through CCM traces I found it
was out of bandwidth issue because I had location set to 48K. However,
I can't understand how can this be a bandwidth issue in the following
scenario:

call from hqph1 5001 to hqph2 5002 it rings on mobile (PSTN line 2)
after 2 seconds as per normal. Answer the call at the hqph2, press
mobility soft key then select send call to mobile nothing happens.
Changed the HQ location bandwidth to 80K and it starts working

Now given that gateway, calling number 5001 and called number 5002 are
in same HQ location and on top of that I have got a dedicated route
pattern just for SNR which routes the call out of hq gateway only then
how come location bandwidth is kicking in

Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] SNR issue: vol 2 lab 4, 3.1

2009-10-07 Thread Vik Malhi
If the call is being routed out of the HQ gateway when loc bw=80k then It
does point to a location problem. If it is configured properly then it is
for some reason not taking it- no mgp/mgcp on the gateway (assuming it is
using mgcp), reset on the gateway page (applies to both mgcp and h323). In
failing that- reset the world. I think you will probably have done most if
not all of the things above- if so then put the location on the devices. Oh
and BTW- also make sure there is no RSVP locations enabled by accident.

Correct! I do see the call going out HQ gw when I set the bw to 80k.

The weird thing is it rings on mobile phone as per normal if you call
from any internal phone, it only doesn't work when you manually try to
send call to mobile by selecting mobility softkey and Send call to
mobile phone

If the call is being routed out of the HQ gateway when loc bw=80k then
It does point to a location problem. If it is configured properly then
it is for some reason not taking it- no mgp/mgcp on the gateway
(assuming it is using mgcp), reset on the gateway page (applies to both
mgcp and h323). In failing that- reset the world. I think you will
probably have done most if not all of the things above- if so then put
the location on the devices. Oh and BTW- also make sure there is no RSVP
locations enabled by accident.

No, location is only set at the dp level. Calling hq phone, called hq
phone and hq gateway are all in same hq dp.

Is the location set on the GW?

Sent from my phone, apologies for any typos.

ok finally spending hour on it and going through CCM traces I found it
was out of bandwidth issue because I had location set to 48K. However,
I can't understand how can this be a bandwidth issue in the following
scenario:

call from hqph1 5001 to hqph2 5002 it rings on mobile (PSTN line 2)
after 2 seconds as per normal.

I have configured SNR few times but this time I have got weird problem.
Call from any phone to HQ ph2 5002 it rings out to mobile (PSTN line 2)
after 2 seconds as per requirement. I can hang up on mobile and can
resume the call on HQ ph2 . However, when I click mobility softkey on HQ
ph2 and select send call to mobile phone nothing happens at all. Then
I press mobility softkey again and this time softkey wouldn't work as
well.

Doubled checked the config but don't see any
