[ccp4bb] Access to iNEXT!

2018-02-23 Thread Anastassis Perrakis
Dear all,

iNEXT has been offering access to X-rays, electrons,
magnets, and photons for a bit over than two years.

iNEXT has pioneered the so-called “Structural Audit” access, where any user can
mail-in their sample for initial characterisation by structural biology methods.

We have very recently revamped the Structural Audit access which now allows you
to submit a sample for:

  * Crystallisation, stability and aggregation (Prometheus), oligomerisation
(SEC-MALS)
  * SAXS measurements in batch, or with inline SEC.
  * Initial characterisation for NMR, typically 15N-HSQC
  *   Negative stain EM

You can mix and match these access routes, in any way you want, with as many
samples per experiment as you wish, in a single application.

We aim for rapid review by our external experts, and you are welcome to Submit
a Proposal now!

Thank you and stay tuned for more from iNEXT in the near future!

Best regards,

Tassos

[ccp4bb] A postdoctoral position in the Institute of Genetics and of Molecular and Cellular Biology (IGBMC) in Illkirch (Strasburg, France)

2018-02-23 Thread Isabelle BILLAS MASSOBRIO
Dear all,

A post-doctoral position is available for a researcher with significant
experience in
biochemistry, protein purification and structural biology in the in the lab of
Susan Chan and Philippe Kastner at the Institute of Genetics and of Molecular
and Cellular Biology (IGBMC) in Illkirch (Strasburg, France).

The aim of the lab is to understand how transcriptional regulators
shape complex developmental decisions and how deregulation of their expression
contributes to diseases of the hematopoietic system.
The work will be carried out in close collaboration with the Department of
Integrated Structural Biology (Isabelle Billas and Bruno Klaholz).

The post is for 12 months in first instance, with possibility of extension up
to 3 years.

Candidates should have a PhD, or be close to obtaining their doctoral degree,
and be
committed to an academic career. Curriculum vitae and contacts for three
references
should be sent to s...@igbmc.fr.

The Institut de Génétique et de Biologie Moléculaire et Cellulaire is a major
center of
biomedical research in Europe. The institute's goal is to develop
multi-disciplinary
research at the interface of biology, biochemistry, physics and medicine. It
attracts a
large international group of students and post-docs, and the working language is
english.

The successful candidate will be offered a package according to a grid
established by
the IGBMC, which will depend on the level of education and experience.
