There are now around 30 spaces available for the CCP4 Study Weekend being held 
in Nottingham between 10-12 January 2018.

There is only accommodation available in halls at present as the hotel has sold 
out.

Please note that the Early bird deadline for the forthcoming CCP4 Study Weekend

After this date, no standard student bursaries will be available and the 
registration fee will increase from £240 to £290 for the final 3 weeks of 
registration.

meeting will be held in Nottingham from 10th – 12th January. A preliminary

Key Dates


  *   Early bird registration final date: 19 November 2017
  *   Standard Student bursaries are open to all students registering during 
early bird period i.e. now until 19 November.
  *   Travel bursaries are available for students and young postdocs studying 
at overseas labs to help cover cost of travel to UK.  The deadline for 
applications is 31 October 2017.
  *   Registration closes 11 December 2017

The Laboratory Manager role will ensure efficient day-to-day running of 
the X-ray Laboratory (including X-ray generators, detectors and 
crystallisation robots) for research staff and students in Biological 
Sciences, the ISMB and for external collaborators and hirers of the 
equipment; ensure that all safety procedures in the laboratory are 
implemented; provide training in use of equipment and to give general 
assistance in crystallography to students and research staff; keep 
abreast of new technologies and methodologies and assess and advise on 
the purchase of new equipment, software, and reagents.
The role holder will coordinate trips to synchrotrons and organise 
Beamline applications. The role holder will also contribute to teaching 
in the department through design, deliver and supervision of practicals, 
tutorials and projects in the general area of molecular biology and 
crystallography
