Hi all,

Just to clarify, and until we publish an actual description of the
process for electing CellML editors, there is a stand-down period of
one year before previous editors become eligible for re-election. So
while many of you are keen for Edmund to continue as editor he is
currently not eligible for re-election. Needless to say, he will
remain involved in the final push to complete the CellML 1.2
specification process.

Cheers,
Andre.

[cellml-discussion] Call for CellML editor nominations for 2013

2012-12-10 Thread David Nickerson
Hi all,

As per the inaugural election for the CellML Editorial Board, Edmund
Crampin's term as editor finishes at the end of this year
(http://www.cellml.org/community/editorial_board). In preparation for
the election of a new member of the CellML Editorial Board we are
soliciting nominations of candidates for CellML Editor for the term
January 2013 - December 2015. The nomination form is available here:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/viewform?formkey=dFhQUTd5N29VN2hSbDNDT1dxd0tSQ0E6MQ

The nomination deadline is 30 December 2012.

You may nominate anyone (including yourself) that you believe is
qualified and would act as a good CellML editor. You may describe your
rationale in the nomination form. You may fill out this form more than
once, for nominating multiple individuals.

The current CellML editors will gather the results and create a single
list of all unique candidates along with the rationales for their
nominations, then verify with each individual that they accept the
nomination, and finally issue a call for voting. The voting will take
place electronically using an online ballot form.

Cheers,
David.
