Seems like a different problem. I'm running multiple Ceph cluster on IPv6 with 
Jumbo Frames.

If the network is configured properly the application running on top of TCP 
doesn't know anything about the MTU of the link below.

The MTU was defined on the client side and it was 9000. The 'ifconfig'
shows the value established but if I ask directly the /proc filesystem it
shows the following:

If I restart the interface it shows 9000 for a while and then it changes
back to 1500. After some research it turns out that the router offers a MTU
1500 in the SLAAC parameters so when the session is 'refreshed', the client
applies the wrong value (1500).

The network guys changed the MTU parameter offered via SLAAC and now it's
working:

You're specifying the ICMP payload size. IPv6 has larger headers than IPv4, so 
you'll need to decrease the payload to
fit in a standard jumbo frame. Try 8952 instead of 8972.

Hello,

we are running everything IPv6 only. You just need to setup the MTU on
your devices (nics, switches) correctly, nothing ceph or IPv6 specific
required.

If you are using SLAAC (like we do), you can also announce the MTU via
RA.

Like Ronny already mentioned, check the switches and the receiver. There is a

have you changed on all nodes ?

also the ipv6 icmpv6 protocol can advertise a link MTU value.
the client will pick up this mtu value and store it 
in/proc/sys/net/ipv6/conf/eth0/mtu

if /proc/sys/net/ipv6/conf/ens32/accept_ra_mtu is enabled.

you can perhaps change what mtu is advertised on the link by altering 
your Router or device that advertise RA's
