Re: Can I ask why this place has been taken over by Brian Thornton aka CFDeveloper
Personally, I'd like to see the Telecommuting tag in the title if it's checked on Craigslist. A few of the jobs posted had it (I know because I have a feed set up for CL myself and already applied to a few). It's not like it's that hard to delete the individual e-mails (or create a filter if you really don't want to see any of those e-mails -- but then, why not just unsubscribe from the list, since they are directly relevant to the list?) Jordan: I agree with you! I personally feel that Brian Thornton is performing a fantastic service for the CF Community in general. Thank You, Brian! :-) Personally, I have seen over 15 possible job opportunities from Brian's postings that are an excellent fit for my skillset, although I'm not currently looking at this time (but I do like to keep my finger on the pulse of this list). I agree with this. Personally I think it switching to a digest would lesson the chances of someone seeing a job that might apply to them. But guess that opinion only applies if they subscribe to the CF Jobs list itself in non-digest format. Sent from my iPad Nano On Apr 12, 2012, at 8:52 AM, Christian N. Re: Can I ask why this place has been taken over by Brian Thornton aka CFDeveloper
Mike, a couple of emails a day is hardly enough to hide anything. I have no problem seeing everything that comes across the list. I think it's fine the way it is and prefer it. People who don't like it DO have options They can filter the emails or they can switch to digest. I'd reconsider asking him to change anything. Instead, I'd consider asking recruiters to not complain simply because someone is giving away what they sell. On 4/12/12 9:52 AM, Christian N. Re: Can I ask why this place has been taken over by Brian Thornton aka CFDeveloper
The list rules were once a week for a job but once every 3 days should be ok. I'm going to email the various people who have been posting daily and put something on the site about it. Eventually I'll have a job posting form rather than allow 'free form' posts. More work but cleaner posts. Agreed. I think with Ms. Danes etc is that the positions are hard to fill. Which is unfortunate because Rochester MN is a really nice town, and the projct is a year plus working at the Mayo Clinic.
