httponly

2009-03-24 Thread Michael Traher

We are failing our security scan because of unsecured cookies.
We already use jsessionID.

setClientCookies = false

So we are going to implement the solution of setting the cookies via
CFHEADER where we can set httponly in all cases, and secure if the request
is over SSL.

That is all fine and dandy, except that the very first request for a session
ignores the CFHEADER; the jsessionid cookie is not secure and not httponly
until the second request, when this is corrected - so there is still a
window for the exploit.

Have other folks found this?

My solution is to have a cflocation in onSessionStart to create an
artificial second request server side, however it seems rather clunky.

Just wondering if anyone has a better solution?

2009-03-24 Thread Gerald Guido

If you have access to cfexecute on your server you can grab one of the
ffmpeg Binaries (or build it yourself) and use it that way. You could
alternately see if there is a java port or wrapper and use it using cfobject
or createobject.

A quick google search turned up this:

FFMpeg FlowPlayer

2009-03-24 Thread William Seiter

Hi all,

I have been working on this for a few days now and haven't got a clue on how
to continue. I was hoping that someone out there has some knowledge of this
and can help me.

I am building a video upload process that translates video into Flash.

I am using a simple form to upload the video.

I am using FFmpeg (cfexecute) to translate the video to flash. The video
file then exists, but I am unable to play it in flowplayer, or any other flv
player that I have downloaded and installed.

In my research, I found that FFMpeg used to have a problem where it would
not add metatags to the file, and could cause a problem that way, so I
installed flvtool2. I now run the flvtool2 on the file after I am done with
ffmpeg conversion. When I do this on the command-line on the server, it
appears to work very quickly, but the end file still doesn't get called by
flowplayer. (I get a 200, file not found). When I do this programmatically
through cfexecute, the process times out. (my current timeout is set to 30
minutes).

Anyone have any ideas of how I might fix this? I am on a windows server, I
have the most recent build of ffmpeg from
http://ffmpeg.arrozcru.org/builds/, and we are running CF8.

I know this isn't what you're asking, but I figured you may be
interested in knowing about it since you're working on this sort of
thing already:

The next production version of Open BlueDragon will contain this
functionality in a tag. Here's a blog post on the subject:

http://blog.openbluedragon.org/cfvideoplayer.htm

The nightly builds also contain this feature so the functionality can be
tested and improved (if you have feature requests).

Re: Page Split in Coldfusion

2009-03-24 Thread Peter Boughton

There are several ways to split a page into 3 sections, but it would help to
have a few more details on what you're attempting to achieve, (since I'm not
familiar with how ASP.NET does SPLIT).

The simplest (server-side) splitting is just a case of putting code in
different files and then using cfinclude to combine them.

If you're looking at client-side stuff, you could have a look at
cflayout/cfdiv/etc to see if this is what you want.

Another non-cfspecific option is jQuery which has .load() and .loadJSON()
functions for either loading complete pages or simply the results of a
cffunction with access=remote remoteformat=json attributes used.

I suspect one of those is what you're asking, but if not then you'll need to
provide more details.

I don't know what the split is in ASP, but it sounds like a case statement
might do the trick.

cfswitch expression=#VARIABLES.action#
cfcase value=action01
!--- do stuff related to action one here ---
/cfcase
cfcase value=action02
!--- do stuff related to action two here ---
/cfcase
cfcase value=action03
!--- do stuff related to action three here ---

Need help with a concept

2009-03-24 Thread Torrent Girl

hi All

I need help with a CF concept that I have not been able to come up with a
solution for.

EX: I need to create a report which calculates the total scores for players for
each play week. Each time the report is accessed it diplays calculations for
the current week and all previous weeks so it will increment 1 week starting
with the first week.

I am having trouble incrementing time based on a week. My first though is to
loop 52 time and display a row for each week but I don't know who to translate
the week number into a date range.

Any suggestions?

Mysterious MySQL DateTime Problem with extra .0

2009-03-24 Thread Martin Orth

Hello,

I have a mysterious problem with getting data from mysql datetime
columns. When I dump my query object each datetime value has the
ending .0
Normaly a mysql datetime value would be 2009-03-24 22:30:02 but I will
get 2009-03-24 22:30:02.0. So it is not possible to work with the data
without removing the .0 at the end. When browse the table data with
the mysql query browser or via ms access (odbc system dsn) everything
looks fine.

I use CF 8 on Windows XP with internal webserver, MySQL 4.1.22 and the
new mysql 5.1 jdbc connector as driver for the datasource. The
mentioned bug at http://bugs.mysql.com/bug.php?id=12520 seems to be
old but until now I found no explanation or solution.

Any solutions out there?

Thanks

Martin

What do you mean impossible to work with the data without removing the .0
at the end? That is a completely normal timestamp. While I don't use
MySQL very often, I use timestamps hundreds of thousands of times each day,
and every single one of them has the .X at the end. That number is simply
the milliseconds, which is still very much valid and part of a timestamp.

Do this:

SELECT d.DeptName AS dName,
   AVG(a.Amount) AS AverageAward,
   SUM(a.Amount) AS DeptTotal

You can't select individual amounts if you're performing aggregates on that
same column.

Also, your SUM(a.Amount) 5000 belongs probably needs to go in the HAVING
clause.

RE: Help requested - Syntax for GROUP BY with HAVING ...

2009-03-24 Thread brad

Try putting a.Amount in your group by clause. Everything in your select
list should be in the group by OR should have an aggregate function
applied to it.

Also, I noticed you are referencing an alias AverageAward in your
order by. I'm pretty certain SQL Server doesn't let you do that, but
you might be OK with MySQL.

Hi Josh,

i serialize the query using json to pass the json data to a extjs grid control.
At the end I have to convert the datetime string to a javascript date object.

CF Flash Form issue

2009-03-24 Thread Scott Dowl

I place a very simple flash form on my page

cfform format=flash width=300
cfinput type=Text name=firstName

When I run the page the page is blank and there is a javascript error in the

Object expected.

This is a 1 page website and there is no included pages or admin.cfm. By
viewing the source I see it includes a js file cfformhistory in the cfide

This file is accessable by IIS and everything seems fine.

This works on my laptop with developer edition. Once I put it on an enterprise

Can you actually fetch the JavaScript file you mention? That is, if
you put the URL for that in your browser, do you get the file or do
you get a 404? My guess is the latter, and you need to ensure that
/CFIDE is properly mapped.

convert the datetime string to a javascript date object.

Huh? Then pass a date object back instead.

cfloop query=MyQuery
cfset MyQuery.DateCol[CurrentRow] = parseDateTime(DateCol)/
/cfloop

If that still doesn't work, then just strip the final bit with:

JsDateString = JsDateString.replace( /\.\d+$/ , '' );

But really, the date should be serialized correctly in the first place.

The next production version of Open BlueDragon will contain this

The nightly builds also contain this feature so the functionality can be

2009-03-24 Thread Scott Dowl

Hey Dave after I posted that I mapped a virtual directory in IIS which worked
for a single page website I had for testing.

Once I placed the flash form in a framework (each page is included in the
index.cfm) I get the blank look.

No errors or js errors of any kind just blank.

HAVING should contain any (both) conditions needed for the search.

BTWare there any tutorials online that cover this kind of CFquery ?

Try putting a.Amount in your group by clause. Everything in your select
list should be in the group by OR should have an aggregate function
 applied to it.

Also, I noticed you are referencing an alias AverageAward in your
order by. I'm pretty certain SQL Server doesn't let you do that, but
you might be OK with MySQL.

If you need to manage advertisers and Ads/banners on your website, check out

http://www.openx.org/

OpenX is a free, open source ad server that manages the selling and delivery
of your online advertising inventory. You can get OpenX as a hosted service
or as downloaded software.

~
Of course it's PHP driven for management side (displaying ads is javascript
calls to php scripts) on front end.

I highly recommend this in the *installed *version, as the hosted version
can drag at times depending on network.

If you are going to use cfscript, you don't have a way to do a list

item. So, you need listGetAt() to get the list item at i.

In cfscript you have to use listGetAt(), something like so:

product_price_#curDenominator# =

You're getting the numeric index, rather than the currency value. Try this,
assuming that the database has columns like 'product_price_eur'.

for (i=1; i LTE listLen(currencies); i=i+1) {
 c = listGetAt(currencies, i);
 product_price_#c# = evaluate('getProduct.product_price_'  c);

You do not need the evaluate functions, I would do something like:
Variables[product_price_#c#] = getProduct[product_price_#c#][1];

The one being the placement in the query, I am just assuming it will return
only one row and always one row and that is all you care to reference.

appears to work very quickly, but the end file still doesn't get called
  by
flowplayer. (I get a 200, file not found). When I do this
  programmatically
through cfexecute, the process times out. (my current timeout is set
 to
  30
   minutes).

Anyone have any ideas of how I might fix this? I am on a windows
 server,
  I
have the most recent build of ffmpeg from
http://ffmpeg.arrozcru.org/builds/, and we are running CF8.

Re: Help requested - Syntax for GROUP BY with HAVING ... ommitted code

2009-03-24 Thread Brad Wood

I don't see how that SQL would work. You are using deptName in your select
list and order by, but you aren't grouping by it. Unless MySQL allows you
to do stuff that SQL Server doesn't, that should throw an error.
Also, I had originally suggested placing the amount in the group by, but I
hadn't noticed that you were getting the avg and sum of the amount column as
well so you probably don't want to be grouping by amount. To use an
aggregate function on the same column you are primarily grouping by would be
useless, since the final result will return one row for every distinct value
of the amount column.
I'm not sure what the purpose of this query is, but if you are expecting to
get one record back for each unique department with totals and average
amounts for that department I think you would want to group by deptName and
take amount out of the select list and the group by.
